Pay: £96.90 - £114 per day (depending on experience)
About the Role
Main Purpose:
As a Teaching Assistant through Teaching Personnel, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils, parents, and teachers to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Your support will help ensure that all students – regardless of background or need – have the opportunity to succeed and progress both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Support
-
Support pupils in achieving their academic goals by delivering targeted learning programmes.

Encourage student independence and confidence while maintaining high expectations.
-
Foster inclusive learning by promoting collaboration and participation among pupils.
-
Work with the class teacher and SENCO to support children with additional needs.
-
Contribute to and help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
-
Adapt resources to support pupils with SEND and/or EAL needs.
-
Provide 1:1 or small group support, including intervention and booster sessions.
-
Observe, record, and provide feedback on student performance.
-
Assist with whole class teaching and curriculum delivery where required.

Help manage classroom behaviour and support positive behaviour strategies.

Provide support during learning activities outside the classroom, such as in the ICT suite or library.
Support for the School
-
Supervise pupils during break and lunchtimes, promoting positive social interactions.

Accompany students and staff on school trips or enrichment activities, taking responsibility for pupil supervision alongside the class teacher.

Assist with creating displays and preparing classroom resources.

Support the pastoral care and wellbeing of pupils as part of a whole-school approach.
What We’re Looking For

A passion for education and helping children reach their potential.

Experience working with children in a school setting is desirable but not essential.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A proactive, flexible, and patient approach to working with young people.

An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
