- £1200 - £1300 per month
- Introduction to a large vibrant secondary school located in Manchester
Teaching Personnel are seeking a Youth Worker to support the social development and educational outcomes of our client schools students, particularly those are at risk of becoming disengaged in education.
The successful Youth Worker will work join our client school in September and will be required to provide ongoing support throughout the academic year. They will work in small groups and one to one with students identified as disengaged or at risk of exclusion to provide mentoring, advice and support as appropriate to the needs of students.
The successful candidate will have the ability to quickly establish positive and credible relationships with diverse groups of young people, to respond flexibly to their needs and to the priorities of the school. They will act as a positive role model and will provide advice on local and teen related issues, e.g. drugs, youth crime, gang culture, health, fitness, smoking, violence, relationships and bullying.
Our client school is a vibrant secondary school with just over 900 pupils on roll. The school is based in South Manchester and is located just a short drive from the city centre, easily accessible via public transport and Metrolinks. The school has been nationally and locally recognised for its continuous improvement and received a positive Ofsted report that judged the school to be 'Good' in all areas.
