JOB DESCRIPTION: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location:

South East England, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes

Job Duties:

  • Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom environment
  • Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Providing one-on-one support to students as needed
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to support student learning

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent

Experience:

Experience working with children with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN strategies and techniques
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Patience and empathy towards students with special needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First aid training

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a classroom setting with students with special educational needs. The work is primarily indoors and may involve some physical activity. The hours are full-time, Monday to Friday.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
