JOB DESCRIPTION: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location:

South East England, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes

Job Type:

Temporary, Full-Time hours

£90 - £100 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom setting
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students
  • Help students with SEN to participate in classroom activities and engage with learning materials
  • Support students with personal care needs, if required
  • Monitor and record student progress, behaviour, and achievements

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children or individuals with SEN
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

Prior experience working with children or individuals with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN support strategies
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
  • Strong organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a classroom environment with students with special educational needs. The work may require assisting students with personal care needs and may involve some physical activity.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
