We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our local schools in Bromley. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support to students with special educational needs. Job role:

The role involves supporting students with Social, emotional & behavioural difficulties, predominately pupils on the Autistic spectrum and with EBD but within a mainstream setting. This is a role of working within Education and could be as classroom assistant, 1:1 or 2:1 basis.

Responsibilities:

• Providing one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN

• Assisting teachers in the delivery of lessons and adapting materials as needed

• Supporting students with physical and personal care, as required

• Monitoring and recording student progress and communicating this to teachers and parents

• Participating in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Requirements:

• A minimum of a Level 2 qualification in SEN support (e.g. NVQ, CACHE)

• Experience working with students with SEN, either in a paid or voluntary capacity

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• A patient and supportive approach
