Job: Secondary Teacher – History

Location: Pontypridd, South Wales

Salary: £157.66+ (pay in line with teacher pay scale)

Hours: Full-time (school hours) Monday – Friday

Contract: Temporary (in the first instance)

 

Teaching Personnel are recruiting a qualified (NQT or FQT) History teacher for a full-time position for an immediate start on behalf of one of our partner schools. The school is a mainstream secondary school (11-18) in the Pontypridd area of South Wales. This school provides education to over 700 pupils of the local community, rated ‘good’ in their latest Estyn inspection (2020).

 

The school site is accessible by public transport, however, is easiest accessed by car with the school site having ample parking for staff.

 

Responsibilities and requirements:

-          Delivering high quality, well-planned lessons to KS3 & 4, with the potential to teach KS5.

-          Provide excellent learning opportunities for learners of all abilities, showing differentiation for ALN & MAT pupils.

-          Experience of working with ALN is desirable but not essential – relevant training can be provided.

-          Work alongside other staff in the department and wider school to produce update and produce curriculum materials.

-          Have excellent communication skills, being able to work closely and professionally with children in a classroom environment.

-          Be an inspirational and motivational classroom practitioner who demonstrates the school values consistently.

-          Perform staff duties as per the school’s policies.

-          QTS essential.
