Location: South East England, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes

Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in the classroom
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for SEN students
  • Help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning concepts
  • Support students with personal care and mobility, if required

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Relevant SEN qualification or experience
  • Valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check

Education:

  • Minimum of GCSE level education
  • SEN qualification is desirable

Experience:

  • Prior experience working with SEN students
  • Experience in a similar role within an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support SEN students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher-level education in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Psychology)
  • Additional SEN training or certifications

Working Conditions:

  • Temporary position with the possibility of extension
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
  • Work primarily within a classroom setting
  • Potential involvement in extracurricular activities or school events

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
