Year 4 Teacher – ASAP Start

Are you currently looking for a supply role working in a Year 4 class in a central Darwen primary school?

Do you have recent experience working in a KS2 department?

Do you hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)?

If you are looking for a role that will challenge your teaching ability and behaviour management capabilities, then this is the role for you! Please consider this before applying, we are looking for a good teacher who can manage behaviour confidently in line with the school’s behaviour policy. The Head teacher of the school in question has approached the agency to quickly shortlist and supply a teacher who is able to hit the ground running and make an instant impact in school. As the children in class can be disruptive, the said school have specified that the applying teachers must be able to extend learning opportunities and excel progress, as well as manage challenging behaviour.

What is the role?

The role will start week beginning 25th Nov 2019 and continue at least until the Christmas holidays. There is also a potential for the role to continue further into the New Year if you are successful in the interim. The Head teacher is keen to keep continuity in this class in order to work on the behaviour and academic development of the children, she will meet with candidates later this week and then look to book someone for the week (to continue further into the term). The working hours will account for a full five days in school across the week. The expectation is that you will be paid for 6.5-7 hours per day with time to plan through PPA allocations.

What are the school looking for?

As the school is under the Local Authority the Head teacher is obliged to provide PPA release time and NQT release (if required). The Head teacher is also looking for a member of staff who holds Qualified Teacher Status and preferably has experience in lower or upper KS2. As with the specification I have been given, the school also want to appoint a teacher who can differentiate the curriculum to meet individual needs and target children with specific learning needs. Additionally, the school team are always happy to fully induct a member of staff to ensure they feel welcome. You will given a school tour, be introduced to the Senior Leadership Team and given direction on what the school working day looks like. Perfect for a temporary member of staff!

Application is fast and efficient with Teaching Personnel. This is a role which needs to be filled quickly and so I will be keen to see applying CVs. I will be looking for the relevant qualifications and experiences and also a person who is the right fit for the team.
