Location: Bedfordshire Secondary School
Job Type: Flexible, around your availability
Salary: £120-£150 (for Qualified Teachers) - Flexible depending on experience, travel, and qualifications
Supply Teacher required for general cover at predominantly one Secondary School located in North Bedfordshire. This is a large Secondary Academy hosting up to 1900 pupils currently on roll here, therefore the demand for a Qualified Teacher able to support with general cover across the school is needed.
This is a flexible role which can accomodate part or full time days/hours per week, which can be agreed on a week by week basis.
Job Duties:
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans to students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
- Provide feedback to regular teachers on student progress and any issues encountered
- Adhere to school policies and procedures
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development as required
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or at least 2 years experience teaching in the UK
- Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance (we can assist with this application)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of the UK National Curriculum
- Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and environments
- Strong classroom management skills
- Confident and Friendly
- Subject specialist knowledge in at least 1 subject
Working Conditions:
- Part-Time hours with flexibility in scheduling
- Working in different schools and classrooms as needed
- Potential travel within the Bedfordshire area
