Job description

Secondary School Supply Teacher demand in Bedfordshire

Teaching Personnel have a great opportunity for Supply Teachers to provide general cover across our supportive Secondary Schools based in Bedford and surrounding areas.

The flexible role will provide cover for pupils across the KS3/KS4 and sometimes KS5 curriculum to meet the needs of schools within the area. There is the potential for longer term positions for the right candidate.

You will be responsible for delivery of pre-planned lessons and supervision of pupils, to cover PPA and short-term absence. Ensuring effective behaviour management in line with school policy and engaging pupils within the learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Availability for standard working hours: 8:15 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday is advantageous 
  • Degree level qualified ideally that specialises in a subject part of the Secondary curriculum
  • Prior experience working in a Secondary School
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Subject specific qualifications
  • Full UK Drivers licence
  • Full time availability

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
