Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel is currently seeking dedicated and passionate SEN and SEMH Teaching Assistants to join our network of schools in Warrington. We are working closely with a range of primary and secondary schools that cater for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working either 1:1 or in small groups to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including:

Autism (ASC)
-
ADHD
-
Social and emotional difficulties
-
Behavioural needs
-
Speech and language challenges
-
Moderate or complex learning difficulties
Your role will involve:
-
Supporting learning inside and outside the classroom
-
Helping to manage behaviour in a calm and supportive way
-
Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
-
Working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff
-
Contributing to pupils’ emotional wellbeing and personal development
The ideal candidate will:
-
Have experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEMH (school-based or other relevant settings)
-
Be calm, patient, and nurturing in your approach
-
Be able to build strong and respectful relationships
-
Have good communication skills
-
Be flexible and reliable
-
Hold a DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
