Job description

Teaching Personnel is seeking a skilled and compassionate Teacher to support pupils with both Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs starting September 2025.

About the Role:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to SEN and SEMH pupils’ individual needs

  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports emotional wellbeing and academic progress

  • Work closely with SENCOs, therapists, support staff, and families to provide holistic care and education

  • Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies to promote engagement and success

Who we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEN and SEMH education

  • Strong understanding of SEMH challenges and effective behaviour management techniques

  • Empathetic, patient, and resilient with excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team

  • DBS check or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
