We are looking for an experienced Primary Teaching Assistant to begin work on a full-time basis in a Primary school based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.
In your role as an TA, you will be working predominantly on a 1:1 basis with a KS2 pupil and supporting them with their learning through accurate monitoring of their progression in class and maintaining their focus on work that is set. The school itself is large and has adequate areas on site that allow 1:1 sessions to be carried out in a professional and calm environment outside of the classroom also.
What we need from you:
- Prior experience supporting SEN statemented pupils such as: ASC, MLD, SEMH, HI or VI.
- A ‘can do’ approach to any given situation or challenge
- The ability to offer 1:1 support
- Exceptional communication and behavioural management skills
- The ability to assess and track progress of pupils
Your role will be vital in the learning development of the pupil that you support, and it is through this unique position that you can help them achieve goals and progress seamlessly through their time in Primary education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
