Job description

Are you interested in a career in teaching but looking to gain further experience within a mainstream school?

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a number of secondary schools based across Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for general cover supervisors. Opportunities for part-time/flexible work as well as long-term/full-time positions. Whether you’re a recent graduate with a specialist subject interest or an individual with experience working with young people, we’d love to hear from you!

Your role as a Cover Supervisor:

  • All work and resources are pre-planned and must be completed to a high standard
  • Will be working across KS3 and KS4
  • Option to cover a variety of subjects or just your specialism
  • Maintain behaviour and ensure the schools behaviour management policies are followed at all times

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with young people in any setting
  • A calm, empathetic and resilient approach to behaviour management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both students and staff
  • Safeguarding training to be completed upon registering with Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
