Teaching Assistant role (KS3/KS4) in Greenwich, South East London, September 2020

The ideal candidate will be a hard-working, energetic, and driven individual(s)who is keen to assist a Greenwich, South East London based secondary school.
We at Teaching Personnel work closely with our client schools in the Greenwich, South East London area to find a passionate individual to work as a teaching assistant at a good school to help support and improve the learning experience at the school.
This role would be most suitable for Newly Qualified Teacher(s) looking to take that next step in the educational sector or recent graduate(s) with valuable and suitable teaching experience looking to start their career as a teaching assistant.
This opportunity would provide valuable learning and teaching experience which will help the right candidate grow as an individual and on a professional level.
The candidate would have an ideal opportunity to work with the Head of Department(s) and the SENCO to improve their knowledge on working and becoming a teacher.
This role would involve working with a mixture of year groups ranging from year 7 to year 13. Opportunities to work with a small group of children as well as larger group will be provided at the Greenwich based school.
Looking for a candidate who is a team player and loves supporting children and helping them with their education as well as:
- Being eager to help support other members of staff and department(s)
- Has a strong and relentless desire/drive to raise the educational standard
- Is willing to betterer themselves and others
Requirements:
- Able to provide 2 career references
- Must be able to pass a DBS check (can be obtained through Teaching Personnel)
- Proof of career history from the past 6 years
- Strong subject knowledge/school knowledge in the area
- Keen and has a desire to help and learn
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
- Some subject specific knowledge/strength (Maths, History, Science etc.)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
