SEN Teaching Assistant - September

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with an 'Outstanding' graded Secondary school based in Bolton to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant ahead of the new academic year in September. The SENCO wishes to meet individuals throughout the summer holidays and wishes to appoint the successful SEN Teaching assistant ahead of the new academic year.

This position is being advertised as a term initially to work alongside a student who has SEN needs and requires assistance throughout daily school life however there will be an opportunity to secure a permanent position beyond this period.

  • SEN Teaching Assistant position starting from September
  • You can expect to earn £1000-£1200 a month depending on your experience
  • You will be tasked with working alongside identified pupils and pupils on the Autistic Spectrum
  • Previous experience working with SEN students is essential

The SENCO wishes to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant who has experience working alongside students that have identified needs, students on the ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition) or children that show signs of challenging behaviour. It is important that you are able to work alongside students, promoting positive learning and behaviour whenever possible and are able to help them make consistent improvements in class. You must have a calming nature when working alongside students with SEN needs and be identify and defuse stressful situation's before they escalate.

Our client school is located in Farnworth and serves a wide catchment area within and beyond Bolton; it is larger than average and boasts to be in the top 3% schools nationally. The school has strong public transport links and can be easily accessible from surrounding areas; Bolton, Bury, Salford and Wigan.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
