SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time (Swinton, January Start)

Teaching Personnel is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Swinton, seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time role (8:30am – 3:30pm) begins in January and involves providing personalised support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), both on a one-to-one basis and in small group settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, individually and in small groups
• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated learning activities
• Support the implementation, monitoring, and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Help to maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
• Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to promote pupil progress
• Adapt your approach to meet the evolving needs of individual learners

Candidate Requirements

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Previous experience supporting children with SEN
• A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with young learners
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare
• Level 2 Safeguarding certification (training can be provided if required)
