SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time (Swinton, January Start)
Teaching Personnel is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Swinton, seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time role (8:30am – 3:30pm) begins in January and involves providing personalised support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), both on a one-to-one basis and in small group settings.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, individually and in small groups
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated learning activities
- Support the implementation, monitoring, and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Help to maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to promote pupil progress
- Adapt your approach to meet the evolving needs of individual learners
Candidate Requirements
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with young learners
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare
- Level 2 Safeguarding certification (training can be provided if required)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
