Intervention Support Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are seeking flexible, motivated, and passionate individuals to join a large primary school in Hyde (SK14) for the 2025/26 academic year. The role will involve providing tailored intervention support across Key Stage 2, working with targeted pupils in small groups, on a 1:1 basis, and within whole-class settings.
The successful candidate will deliver targeted Maths, Reading, and Writing interventions to children who are not yet meeting age-related expectations, helping to close gaps in learning and raise attainment. Working closely with class teachers, you will provide vital support in ensuring pupils make strong progress. The role is varied, with opportunities to support across Years 3–6, both within classrooms and in designated intervention spaces.
About you:
-
Experience supporting children in an educational setting (1:1 or small groups)
-
Graduates and professionals with private tutoring backgrounds are encouraged to apply
-
Qualified teachers looking to focus on intervention support, rather than whole-class teaching, are also welcome
This is a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Middleton, committed to supporting pupils from a wide range of backgrounds. With a higher-than-average proportion of disadvantaged pupils, the school is dedicated to providing high-quality, targeted support to help every child reach their full potential.
