SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | Moston | January Start
Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working in partnership with a highly respected and inclusive primary school in Moston to recruit a committed SEN Teaching Assistant. This full-time role (8:30am – 3:30pm) begins in January and focuses on providing tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) through both one-to-one and small group interventions.
The school has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and is celebrated for its nurturing ethos and inclusive approach to education. You’ll be joining a collaborative, welcoming team that values the vital role support staff play in pupil development.
Your Role Will Include:
- Providing targeted support to pupils with SEN, both individually and in small groups
- Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering personalised learning activities
- Supporting the implementation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to monitor progress
- Adapting support strategies to meet evolving pupil needs
What We’re Looking For:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Experience working with children with SEN
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
- Level 2 Safeguarding certification (or willingness to complete training)
