SEN Teaching Assistant – Levenshulme – September Start

A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Levenshulme is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time role for the full academic year, with the potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate.

You will play a key role in supporting students with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Working closely with the SENCO and classroom teachers, you will help deliver targeted one-to-one and small group interventions, adapt resources, and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to students with EHCPs and additional needs

• Assist with classroom-based learning, ensuring students stay engaged and supported

• Deliver small group or one-to-one interventions focusing on literacy, numeracy, or emotional regulation

• Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour

• Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals

• Contract: Full academic year, full-time

• Pay: £89.38 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
