Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant – Bramhall, Stockport – September Start – £89–£100 per Day

Are you a recent Psychology graduate eager to gain hands-on experience in a school setting before progressing into teaching, educational psychology, or mental health support?

A high-performing secondary school in Bramhall, Stockport is looking to appoint a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant from September 2025. This full-time role will run for the full academic year, with the potential for progression into teacher training or long-term school-based roles.

You’ll be supporting students with a range of additional needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties. Your role will involve a mix of classroom support, one-to-one interventions, and small group sessions, helping students to access learning and develop confidence in both academic and social settings.

What the role involves:

• Providing targeted support to students with SEND/SEMH needs

• Working 1:1 and in small groups to deliver academic and emotional support interventions

• Supporting classroom engagement and helping students regulate behaviour

• Collaborating with teaching staff, the SENCO, and pastoral team to tailor support

• Building positive, consistent relationships with students to foster trust and motivation

• Daily Pay: £89.38 – £100 (dependent on experience)

• Requirements: Degree in Psychology (or related field), strong interest in education and SEN
