A secondary school in Trafford requires a SEN teacher who can work within the school’s on site provision teaching students who require additional support and dedicated teaching. Any experience of teaching or working with students who have Autism will be beneficial. The successful teacher will be teaching across the subject range but focussing on functional skills and social aspects of learning.
The successful SEN teacher will need to be a qualified teacher who has experience of supporting students with SEN. Any experience of Autism, ADHD, SEMH will be beneficial.
Key aspects of this SEN teaching position:
- Pay ranging between GBP100 - GBP140 per day depending on experience with this specific role
- Full time role with options for part time where necessary
- Teach small classes, mostly one to one students within the school’s on site provision
- This position is due to start in September as the school returns from the national closure and summer break until the end of the academic year
The successful SEN teacher will be required for 5 days each week ideally, supporting and teaching students on a 1:1 basis in the main. This will be within the schools on site inclusion centre, working with the student; building a relationship with him to gain trust and an encouraging learning environment.
This secondary school is located in the South Manchester area making it very accessible for those driving via the M60/M56 ring road. The school is also easy to access on local public transport for those travelling via bus.
This role would suit:
- Qualified teacher with experience of supporting students with Autism and other SEN
- Firm but fair approach to ensure the student remains on task and is able to get the most out of the teaching sessions
- Previous SENCO looking for part time or full time but consistent teaching
- Previous tutor/intervention specialist with exposure and experience of Autism

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
