Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to work at a Special Needs School in Rotherham 

 

This position will start in April 2024 and is a full-time role.

The pay for this position is between £80 - £95

The successful candidate will be working alongside students who have additional educational requirements. You must be fully aware of Special Educational Needs (SEN), as well as Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH). You may be working 1:1 with individual students or with small groups of students to support them with their additional learning requirements.

 

Requirements

It is essential that you have some form of relevant expereince such as classroom or care home experience. 

You must be willing to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check and be able to provide at least two employment references.

 

Key responsibilities:

Supporting the students with their Educational Healthcare Plans (EHCPs).

Building relationships with the students to be able to support them in their development.

Monitoring the progression of the pupils, being able to give feedback to the pupils, the teachers, and their parents.

Being aware of all safeguarding procedures and dealing with any situations that may arise.

Monitoring and managing hyperactive behaviour and behaviour that challenges.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
