Teaching Personnel are currently looking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic teaching assistant for our partner school, a primary specialist school in the Stoke area. The position will be working predominately with children 4-11 year old pupils who have verity of Special Education Needs.. Your role will be supporting with behaviour management and to engage and interact with the children to enable them to be able to access to curriculum fully.
As I work with a wonderful SEN School in Stoke who are currently seeking an SEN Teacher for short term and longer term based role. Many of their pupils have additional physical disabilities, medical, care and sensory needs and behavioural difficulties.
The role will entail leading a small class of SEN pupils reaching learning targets and there will be daily planning involved. The pupils are on the spectrum and have sensory requirements. The classes are smaller than mainstream and you'll have the support of 2/3 TAs to assist in class for various pupils.
The school are looking for someone who is confident, organised, who can use their own initiative to pick up from the hand over and take responsibility in leading the class, teaching assistants and meet pupil development targets.
The ideal candidate:
- Have PECS and Makaton training / experience but not essential
- Experience working with challenging behaviour or have Team Teach training (positive restraint training)
- You will need to be confident, organised and be able to lead a team
- Flexible, adaptive and versatile individual
Pay rates are £55-65!

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
