Do you have experience working with vulnerable young people? Are you looking to make a difference? Are you a recent Psychology or Counselling graduate? Our partner school in Bury is currently looking to recruit Teaching Assistants to support in their provision. The school is a specialist provision which supports children who have Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ranging from moderate to severe.
The ideal candidate will need to be flexible in regards to work, and have an understanding of supporting young people with SEMH needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable young people, either in a support worker setting or as a care assistant. You must have a passion for working with young people and wanting to help improve the needs and the wellbeing of young people. You will have a resilient and outgoing nature.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will need to be flexible and resilient, as you will be expected to work with varying needs from PMLD to SLD so having knowledge of the SEN sector and/or experience in a care assistant role, or medical background is essential to the role. Training in moving and handling is desirable, but not essential, as you can be provided with training through our CPD Academy.
What we can provide
Teaching Personnel are education specialists with 23 years experience in the field. You will be provided with your own specialist consultant who will take care of your needs and advise you through the clearing and work process. You will have access to free safeguarding training and an online diary so you can manage your work times more efficiently. You will also have access to our CPD Academy, in which you will be able to attend training courses in order to aid your personal development in your career.
