Position: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Lyme Regis, Secondary School

In this role, you'll play a vital role in supporting children within the school's resource base, catering to their diverse learning requirements, with a particular focus on Autism.

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN, with a strong emphasis on supporting individuals with Autism.
  • Compassionate and patient nature, coupled with a genuine desire to make a difference.
  • Effective communication skills, essential for building positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Flexibility and resilience to thrive in a dynamic educational setting.

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing tailored support and encouragement to students within the resource base, aiding in both academic and personal development
  • Collaborating closely with teachers and the SENCO team to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development to enhance your skills and expertise.

Working hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 3:15pm

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
