Position: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Secondary School in Weymouth
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm
Contract: Full-time with potential for permanent placement

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working within the school's resource base, supporting children with SEN. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, both academically and emotionally
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to ensure the needs of students are met.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience working with children or young adults with SEN on a professional basis is preferred.
- Possess a patient, empathetic, and nurturing demeanour.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt and respond effectively to the diverse needs of students.
- Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are advantageous, but not essential – we also consider individuals with transferable skills and a genuine passion for working with SEN students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
