Position: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Secondary School in Bournemouth
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm
Contract: Initial temporary placement with potential for permanent conversion

About the Role: As a Learning Support Assistant within the school's dynamic resource base, you'll play a pivotal role in nurturing and guiding students with SEN. Your dedication and expertise will be instrumental in creating an inclusive learning environment where every individual thrives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, assisting them academically and emotionally.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement personalised education plans.
  • Foster a nurturing and supportive atmosphere conducive to students' growth and development.
  • Uphold high standards of professionalism and empathy in all interactions with students and staff.

Candidate Profile:

  • Prior experience in supporting individuals with SEN, either professionally or through volunteer work.
  • A compassionate and patient demeanour, coupled with strong communication skills.
  • Adaptability and a proactive approach to meeting the diverse needs of students.
  • While qualifications in education or SEN support are advantageous, we also welcome candidates with relevant transferable skills and a genuine passion for SEN support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
