Job description

SEMH/EBD Experienced Teaching Assistant Required in Swansea

  • Competitive rate of pay
  • Short and long-term positions available
  • CPD Courses available through Teaching Personnel including Team Teach!

I have been approached by a challenging behaviour school within the Swansea area that are looking for an enthusiastic teaching assistant with experience handling very challenging behaviour.

The role will be to support SEMH/EBD children who have difficulty engaging with the work. The pupils who attend the school are ‘school phobics’ and have high levels of anxiety so an experienced TA is a requirement.

You’ll be supporting the pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis to help engage the pupils in the work and help them settle back into school life.

You’ll have the support of a class teacher and other TA’s so you’ll really have the opportunity to make a positive impact on these children.

The ideal candidate will be willing to work on a supply basis initially whilst we seek a longer term opportunity for you. Longer term opportunities usually arise quickly for those candidates who show initiative, are proactive and receive positive feedback from their supply assignments.

If interested please send a copy of your CV to christopher.hancock@teachingpersonnel.com or call 01792 473 300.
