Sports Coach – Mainstream Primary School (Temp to Perm)

Location: Bootle, Merseyside
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Start Date: Dec 2025
Salary: £13.75+ per hour

Are you passionate about sport and inspiring young learners? We are looking for an enthusiastic Sports Coach to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Bootle. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your skills to promote physical activity, teamwork, and wellbeing while supporting pupils’ personal development.


The Role

  • Deliver fun, engaging sports and physical education sessions for primary-aged pupils.
  • Encourage teamwork, confidence, and resilience through structured activities.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils who need extra help.
  • Work closely with teachers and school staff to create inclusive learning experiences.
  • Be a positive role model, helping children develop healthy habits and social skills.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with children (school, coaching, or youth work background).
  • Passionate about sport, wellbeing, and child development.
  • Patient, resilient, and able to motivate pupils in a positive way.
  • Relevant coaching qualifications (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
