Pay Rate: £13.75-£14.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a forward-thinking and inclusive primary school in Speke, who are seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant to join their team from November 2025.
This full-time, temporary position will involve working closely with pupils who have a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH needs.
The Role Includes:
- Providing tailored one-to-one and small group support
- Implementing effective strategies to support pupils with diverse needs
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and the pastoral team
- Supporting pupils’ emotional and social development
- Helping create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a primary setting
- Strong understanding of a range of special educational needs and effective support strategies
- Experience with one-to-one and small group interventions
- A calm, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour management
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- A relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- An up-to-date DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
