Role: Behavioural Specialist Teaching Assistant

Location: Speke, L24

Hours: Full time

Contract: Temporary

Start Date: November 2025

Pay Rate: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour, depending on experience

Are you passionate about supporting children with behavioural needs and helping them thrive in a school environment? We’re looking for a dedicated Behavioural Specialist Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Speke area.

About the Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs.
  • Implement tailored strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver individualised plans.
  • Support pupils in developing social and emotional skills in a nurturing environment.

This is a supportive and inclusive primary school that values every child’s potential. Staff work collaboratively to create a positive learning environment where pupils feel safe and encouraged to succeed.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children with challenging behaviour or SEMH needs.
  • Calm, patient, and resilient with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Team player with a proactive approach to supporting learning and wellbeing.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
