Autism Support Specialist – Primary School, Crosby

Start Date: 3rd November 2025
Contract: Full-time (Monday to Friday, term-time only) until July 2026
Pay Rate: £13.75 – £15.66 per hour

Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)? A welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Crosby is seeking a dedicated Autism Support Specialist to join their nurturing team this October.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a child-centred environment and is eager to develop their skills in specialist support. Whether you have previous experience in SEN or are looking to take your first step into education, we’re looking for someone with empathy, resilience, and a genuine commitment to helping children thrive.


 What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Providing tailored one-to-one and small group support for pupils with ASC
  • Assisting teachers in creating inclusive, calm, and engaging learning environments
  • Supporting sensory regulation, emotional wellbeing, and social development
  • Helping prepare resources and activities that meet individual learning needs
  • Collaborating with staff and external professionals to ensure consistent support

✅ What We’re Looking For:

  • A caring and patient individual with a strong interest in supporting children with ASC
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to complete CPD and specialist training (provided)
  • Ability to work effectively within a supportive team
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
