Learning Support Assistant – Special Educational Needs (Liverpool)
A dedicated special educational needs (SEN) school in the Liverpool area is seeking a compassionate and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting primary-aged children with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will:
- Support small groups of children with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Provide personalised assistance tailored to each child’s individual needs.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of bespoke learning plans.
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience working with children, particularly those with SEN, is desirable.
- A strong understanding of EHCPs and the challenges faced by children with additional needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Relevant qualifications in education or child development are preferred but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
