SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Croxteth (L12)

Contract: Temporary with the potential for permanent employment

Schedule: Full Time

Start Date: November 2025

Pay Rate: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Croxteth (L12) is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from November 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children in a nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.

About the Role:

You’ll work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs. The role involves both 1:1 support and small group interventions, helping children access the curriculum, build confidence, and reach their full potential.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND (in education or care settings)
  • Calm, empathetic, and positive approach to behaviour and learning
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 TA, CACHE, SEN-specific training) are desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
