ADHD Support – Teaching Assistant

Location: Speke, L24

Contract: Temporary

Hours: Full Time

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Are you passionate about supporting children with ADHD and helping them thrive in a classroom setting? Teaching Personnel is seeking a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to pupils with ADHD in a welcoming primary school in Speke.

The Role:

As an ADHD Support Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Work closely with pupils diagnosed with ADHD, providing tailored support and strategies.
  • Assist the class teacher in managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions.
  • Help pupils develop focus, social skills, and emotional regulation.
  • Liaise with SENCOs, parents, and external agencies where appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children with ADHD or other neurodiverse needs.
  • Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Is patient, empathetic, and resilient.
  • Has strong behaviour management and communication skills.
  • Is committed to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing.
