Pastoral Support Assistant

• Pastoral support for a cohort of children with various SEN
• Communicating with SLT, outside agencies including family
• Supporting children outside of their academics in pastoral matters

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS –

• Previous experience in a care or education setting
• Previous experience with SEN such as Autism
• Previous experience with SEMH needs such as anxiety, attachment issues and challenging behaviour
• Knowledge, qualifications or training within pastoral care or counselling is desirable
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as Safeguarding training is provided)
• Team Teach training would be highly desirable for this role as you may be working with some challenging behaviours

To be eligible for this role, you must:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Have an Enhanced Child DBS certificate registered onto the online Update Service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
