Are you a newly qualified English teacher looking for the next step in your career? Are you enthusiastic and confident with a passion for English Literature and Language?

On behalf of a secondary school in central Plymouth, Teaching Personnel are looking for a confident NQT to plan, prepare and deliver English Literature and English Language to key stage 3 and 4 pupils. You will be apart of a very supportive and resourceful department. This role is a temporary position to start from Easter 2019 to continue until the end of the academic year.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a PGCE qualification with an English degree
  • Have confidence in the classroom and have a passion for teaching English
  • Be able to monitor and track pupils and offer interventions to pupils who need it
  • Plan, prepare and deliver lessons to key stage 3 and key stage 4 pupils with the support from the head of department
  • Be available from Easter 2019 and will commit to a full time position until July 2019

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £44, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.
