Are you a qualified Maths teacher looking to secure long term work from Easter?
Due to an upcoming maternity absence, our client school has at a least two term need for a qualified Maths teacher to join them on a temporary basis, teaching Maths across 11-16.
- Earn in line with MPS/UPS for fixed term appointment
- Full time position as Maths teacher at Rotherham secondary
- Easter 2017 start – expected to continue until Dec 2017, possibly Easter 2018
- Excellent facilities and supportive department in Mathematics
- Work at a school graded as “Good” in all areas by Ofsted
Our client school is a small, oversubscribed secondary with a history of delivering excellent results across Key Stages 3 and GCSE groups. The school is located a short distance off the M1, making it accessible from surrounding areas such as Sheffield, Doncaster and Barnsley, along with good levels of accessibility for those using public transport. The school recently moved into a purpose built site with teaching and learning at the forefront of the design, ensuring staff and students can benefit from excellent provisions for learning and interactive learning spaces. The incoming Maths teacher will join a well established Mathematics department with a comprehensive intervention team in place.
Requirements of this position as a Maths teacher;
* UK QTS (NQTs welcome to apply)
* PGCE or relevant teaching based qualification specialising in Mathematics
* Previous experience teaching Mathematics across 11-16 age range
* A commitment to securing a longer term placement at a supportive secondary in Rotherham
* A track record of delivering excellent results at GCSE due to upcoming examinations
