Maths graduate teaching assistant

  • Supporting secondary aged pupils 11-16
  • Supporting KS3 and GCSE students within their studies

Are you a Maths graduate considering a career within secondary education? Would you like to work as a teaching assistant, supporting pupils within their Maths studies?

Our client school located in Rochdale who have the perfect opportunity for any Maths graduates looking to enhance their knowledge and experience within education prior to teacher training.

- Full time position for the remainder of the academic year

- Supporting KS3 and GCSE students within their studies

- Providing tuition to pupils who have lower ability levels

- Working directly within the Maths department of this excellent secondary school

Our client school seek to appoint 2 Maths graduates this year to provide subject specific intervention support to pupils across both KS3 and 4. In recent years the school have enhanced exam results by employing Maths graduates to support within the Maths department and prepare their pupils for examinations through the use of tailored tuition.

Applicant requirements;

- Hold a degree in Maths related studies

- Hold previous experience working within education/providing tuition to 11-16 year old pupils

- Have strong subject knowledge and be able to motivate pupils and develop learning

Found in central Rochdale, a short drive from the M62 the school is easily accessible from the surrounding areas and has regular public transport links. Serving an ethnically diverse catchment area, there are an average number of EAL pupils on roll in which specialist teaching assistants offer additional support to individual pupils.
