English Teacher
Job description
We are seeking a passionate and adaptable English Teacher with QTS to support learners aged 8–18 within a specialist education setting. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, working 9am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Learners have a range of complex Special Educational Needs, including: Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Communication, sensory and developmental needs and Physical and medical needs
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver adapted English lessons to meet individual needs

Use creative and multi-sensory approaches to support communication

Create a safe, structured and engaging learning environment

Work closely with support staff, therapists and families
Requirements
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Minimum 6 months childcare experience, particularly supporting children with SEN needs
-
Experience teaching learners with PMLD and/or SLD is highly desirable
-
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the rural location
-
A patient, flexible and resilient teaching approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
