Maths Graduate - Urmston

A secondary school in the Urmston area of Manchester is looking for a Mathematics graduate who is looking to pursue a career in education. The successful Maths graduate will need to be confident and be motivated in their approach to working with 11 - 16 year olds. The successful Mathematics graduate will be completing a full 360 degree role within the school. There will be the opportunity to cover full lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher if this is something which is of interest as well as supporting the class teacher as a Teaching Assistant.

The experience gained will be invaluable; building on good behaviour management skills but also learning how to control a full classroom of students. The role may also involve working with students in small groups or 1:1 outside of the classroom where you will have the opportunity to provide intervention to students and catch up in Mathematics. As a core subject, the school place high regard in Numeracy and Maths skills, with the successful individual fulfilling a pivotal and important role in the education of the students.
