Are you a recent graduate of Maths looking for a teaching assistant role to start at the end of April going on to September?

Teaching Personnel are working with a secondary school in the south Manchester area who are looking to take on aspirational Maths teachers who are keen to work within a school environment and gain relevant experience. The successful Maths graduate will be primarily supporting within the large Maths department of this secondary school working with students across the full age and ability range as instructed by the Head of Maths.

This secondary school located in the Manchester education authority has identified Maths as an area where students require additional support with targeted intervention due to take place. The successful Maths graduate will have the opportunity to enrol onto this Graduate Teacher Internship where they would be given a specific cohort/list of students who they will work with in small groups each week ensuring that they are understanding the subject matter being taught within their lessons.

The successful Maths graduate should therefore consider themselves a subject specialist who is comfortable and confident with their Maths ability up to GCSE level. Any graduates thinking of taking on a teacher training role in the future are highly encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

Key aspects of this Maths graduate Teaching Assistant position:

  • Work with small groups of students each week across the age and ability range
  • Highly supportive and reputable secondary school in the South Manchester area
  • Easily accessible via public transport given it’s proximity to the city centre of Manchester
  • Pay will be dependent upon experience of working with students in a school setting; earn up to GBP1300 per month
  • Support primarily in the Maths department of this large secondary school

The school are ideally looking for a Maths graduate who will start with them as close to the end of April as possible with the view of continuing into the new academic year and is able to stay with the school for the full academic year.

This is a highly supportive secondary school located close to the city centre of Manchester. Any Maths graduates that are able to commute to the city centre, will find this school very easily accessible. Public transport links are plentiful in the area and the local metrolink also travels close by this secondary school. Any Maths graduates with experience of working with young people or tutoring are encouraged to apply for consideration.
