A high-performing mainstream secondary school in Blackburn, Lancashire, is seeking a talented Teacher of Performing Arts to join their successful department on a 12-month maternity cover from May 2026.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Performing Arts lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Plan and deliver engaging, imaginative schemes of work that inspire creativity and confidence.
- Direct or support school productions, showcases, and extracurricular clubs.
- Assess and monitor student progress in line with curriculum expectations.
- Contribute positively to a vibrant, collaborative department.
- Uphold excellent behaviour management and safeguarding standards.
Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge in Drama, Dance, or broader Performing Arts.
- A creative, energetic teaching style with the ability to engage all learners.
- Experience teaching in a secondary school setting.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
