Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or possess an equivalent certification that validates your teaching qualifications.
  • Successfully completed a PGCE qualification.
  • Possess a child-only Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Proven experience in effectively teaching primary school-aged children, showcasing your ability to engage and inspire young learners.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing you to establish positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Embrace a growth mindset and exhibit a genuine passion for continuous professional development, staying updated with the latest teaching strategies.
  • Full eligibility to work in the UK, ensuring compliance with employment regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop engaging teaching materials, arrange the classroom environment, and curate attractive displays.
  • Design and deliver well-structured lessons, catering to the needs of individual students and facilitating small group learning.
  • Assess and provide feedback on student work, while actively engaging with parents and caregivers to discuss their children's progress.
  • Supervise and coordinate the tasks of supporting teaching assistants.
  • Adhere to safeguarding protocols and collaborate with educational contacts and social workers as necessary.
