Are you a dynamic and enthusiastic PE Teacher with a passion for inspiring young people?
A vibrant and well-regarded secondary school in Darwen is seeking a Female PE Teacher to join their team from May 2026 on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis.

The successful candidate will join a supportive department committed to delivering high-quality PE across KS3 and KS4. This role requires a female teacher due to essential timetable and safeguarding arrangements involving girls’ PE changing rooms and supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Plan, prepare and assess students’ work in line with curriculum requirements.
• Lead and support extracurricular sports activities and school teams.
• Promote healthy lifestyles, teamwork and personal development in all pupils.
• Uphold the school’s high standards of behaviour and safeguarding practices.

Requirements

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching PE at secondary level.
• Strong communication, organisation and behaviour‑management skills.
• A proactive, positive and professional approach.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
