Are you looking to take on an enjoyable and rewarding role that will make an incredible impact to the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs?
Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a specialised learning provision in Basildon. We are looking to recruit a passionate Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with a multitude of Special Needs. This role is to work on a full time basis, to begin in January! This provision holds 155 pupils aged 4-19 years old whom all obtain education, health and care plans.
Working as a Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting children across all Key Stages, accompanied by a Teacher and other Support Assistants. You will be working with children and young people with a range of severe Special Educational Needs such as; MLD, PMLD, SLD, Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome and Physical Disabilities. You will also be required to confidently support students displaying challenging behaviour.
The successful candidate must have experience with some of the following:
- Experience working with people with SEN / Disabilities
- Confidence supporting children and young people with different types of SEN
- Previous experience as a Care / Support Worker
- Work within a Specialist Provision or SEN school
Teaching Personnel can offer SEN Teaching Assistants:
- Weekly pay of GBP300-GBP350 per week, however long term rates can be negotiated on your behalf
- Access to unique CPD opportunities to increase your qualifications and knowledge of the field such as: Autism Awareness, Safeguarding, Team Teach and more
- An experienced consultant along with our dedicated on call service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
