Our client, an innovative and inclusive 11–18 state-funded entrepreneurial academy in Brighton with a specialism in sport and entrepreneurship, is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Geography to join their dynamic Humanities faculty from September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed teacher – whether an Early Career Teacher or experienced practitioner – to make a real impact in a forward-thinking school that encourages ambition, creativity, and a global outlook.

About the Role
Geography at their academy is more than a subject – it’s a way to understand people, places, and our changing planet. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative department committed to making learning relevant, engaging, and transformative for all students.

Main Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially Key Stage 5

• Inspire curiosity about global issues, sustainability, and cultural diversity

• Foster a learning environment where all students feel confident, supported, and challenged

• Use assessment and feedback effectively to support student progress

• Contribute to the development of creative and ambitious schemes of work

• Take part in enrichment activities and cross-curricular projects linked to entrepreneurship and sport

• Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and child welfare

• A qualified teacher (QTS or on track to achieve it), with a specialism in Geography

• A creative approach to teaching, with high expectations for all learners

• Passion for global issues and a desire to make learning relevant and exciting

• Strong classroom management and a positive presence

• Reflective, resilient, and dedicated to continuous professional development

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
