Our client secondary school situated close to Altrincham (commutable from Sale, Trafford, Wythenshawe, Stockport areas) is looking to take on a Lead Practitioner of Maths from September 2021. This is an open vacancy at this well-regarded secondary school whereby the school are looking to ideally take on an experienced Maths teacher permanently.
If you are a Maths teacher with experience and looking for that next step in your teaching career, then this could be the role for you. As Lead Practitioner of Maths, you will be responsible for assessment for learning within the Maths department and supporting the Head of Department with creating schemes of work and assisting pupil progress. This is an ideal role for a Maths teacher with ambition for that next step in their teaching career.
Highlights of this Lead Practitioner of Maths role:
- Pay will be dependent upon experience but opportunity to take on a contract at M6 – UPS3 (GBP36000 - GBP45000 per annum)
- Experienced teacher of Maths to start on Thursday 2nd September 2021
- Ideal role for a Maths teacher who is looking for that next step up in their teaching career
- Be involved in designing, reviewing and implementing intervention programmes for targeted pupil groups
This school is located within commutable distance from Altrincham, Sale, Trafford, Stockport and Wythenshawe. It is also close to Didsbury and Withington so any Maths teacher in this area are encouraged to apply for immediate consideration.
The successful Maths teacher will play an active role in the department’s school STEM contributions and take part in pupil data collection and review. If you have any experience of supporting in this capacity or in a similar role, please highlight this on your application. Any experience of taking the lead on departmental behaviour policies is also desirable.
