Job description

Full time History teacher required with experience of teaching other areas of Humanities for a Bolton based Secondary school in September 2024

This will be a full-time position within a well-respected Secondary school in Bolton where the incoming teacher will be responsible for a full time table consisting of History lessons at GCSE level whilst covering other subject areas within the Humanities department.

  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS standards
  • Potential to earn a permanent contract after a performance review at the end of this temporary period.

The Head of Humanities at our partner school has highlighted that he would wish to meet with suitable candidates at the earliest convenience with the aim to successfully appoint for this position prior to December.

It will be beneficial in support of your application for this role if you are able to teach other areas within the Humanities department.

The school aim to appoint a passionate and dedicated History teacher that will be able to teach well planned interactive lessons in a manner that will engage their students. It will be crucial in support of further employment that the incoming History teacher will be able to stretch the learning of their pupils in order to achieve excellent results at GCSE level.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
